Hope you had a good day and are looking forward to your weekend? Let me tell you more about my weekend plans tomorrow! Today I was inspired by a Canon x Stella McCartney collaboration for a camera bag (can you please produce that one for a 6D and not only for a 100D?) and decided to reveal which camera I am actually using for my blog photos.
I shoot with a Canon EOS 6D either with a Canon zoom lens EF 24-105mm 1:4 or with a Canon lens EF 85mm 1:1,8. I use the 85mm for portraits and in studios or at home, where I don’t need to adapt to unknown settings. The zoom lens is better for events and other action shoots on the road since you as a person don’t need to move that much but can zoom. With an 85mm the focal length is set and thus, running or moving is a must.
It took me long to take this step, but after some experience-sharing with other photographers and further thought I decided to go for a more pro-camera with a full-frame sensor instead my old Canon with a crop sensor.
Pros & Cons
One of few disadvantages is the weight. It is heavier than most crop cameras (at least in my experience) and you need a flash since there is none integrated (I still have that one on my wanting-to-have list). But that’s about it. Otherwise I enjoy taking it around and trying different manual settings to get to know it and get a feeling for all the features it offers.
I would recommend to join either a photography club or a course to learn some technical stuff about the device – listen, discuss and collect experiences to be prepared and ready for the next step!
But to get to the most important point from this post! I want this bag in the proper size for my camera! She’s a beauty! Don’t you agree?
